Healthy dogs
A 10-test DNA panel on every breeding dog, plus OFA hips (Good or Excellent), elbows and eyes. A 26-month hip, elbow and eye guarantee and a lifetime genetic disease guarantee come standard with every pup.
Trainability
All of our breeding dogs are hunt-test titled in AKC, HRC or APLA competition. That proves trainability — and it shows up in guide dogs, hunt-test dogs, and full-time family dogs alike.
Natural pointing instinct
Fifteen years of selective breeding has strengthened the point in our lines. We no longer ask if a pup will point — only when — without giving up a thing the Labrador is known for.
Calm disposition
Cool, calm and collected on the couch, with the on-switch you want in the blind. Disposition is one of our top selection criteria, not an afterthought.
The right size
We breed males in the 60–70 lb range and females 50–60 lbs. Light on their feet, athletic, and long-lived — a 60 lb dog from our kennel will out-work a 90 lb dog all day.
Versatility
Ice-skimmed water for waterfowl in the morning, upland cover for roosters, grouse and quail all afternoon. One dog, every job, all season long.
